Often, he wakes up early all by himself, coming down as early as six o’clock so he can have a cup of “coffee” with me. But not today! I tiptoed up at seven and lay down beside him in his bed. He snuggled into me and I kissed his warm head and began to sing the birthday song. Suddenly, he remembered! He flipped over, grinning, and said, “I was so excited, I didn’t even have a dream!”
Present time! And he got exactly what he wanted! Even though he kind of forgot he wanted it. 🙂 He bounced up and down, squealing all the while, the biggest smile I’ve ever seen on his little face. Then he flew into my arms. “Thank you, Mommy!” Then across to his dad. “Thank you, Daddy!”

But he didn’t make a wish. He had nothing to wish for! Could this boy be any sweeter?
