The Power of Handwriting

Have you seen this guy? His art and penmanship is amazing.

I write all the time. Lists, notes, ideas, plans, memories, sometimes even just a single word – all written down and even doodled. Writing, to me, is such a vibrant and human thing to do. What will we lose by keeping all of our thoughts and memories on computers? What will our children lose by never gaining even the most basic mastery of the pen?

  1. I lost all thoughts of penmanship when I entered into the 10th grade. The teachers basically said, when I get to the end of the chalkboard and am done writing, I am erasing what was there and if you don’t have it written down in your notes, too bad.
