Just Henry

A pair of photos for my mom.  Regretfully, I haven’t taken many photos yet.  That would be One More Thing and I’d rather take a nap.

Mister Henry had his two week well baby yesterday, and I’m happy to report that his constant nursing has paid off.  Eleven pounds eight ounces!  Go, baby! He’s a happy boy, sleeps like a baby (ha!) and loves his family.  Naturally, we all adore him.  And Evie is almost reconciled to the whole breastfeeding thing.

Otherwise, we’re getting All The Things done, but it takes three times as long.  Especially if I want to avoid any conflicts with nap time.  🙂

About the photos: Brenna was holding him and he was putting all his effort into working up an “Ah!”

Give him kisses!! Give him kisses!! OH, how I wish I had another little one to hold all the time…..treasure it! I know you are…..

He’s seldom out of my arms, and if he is, someone else probably has him! He’ll be a roly-poly two year old like his sister if I blink. I just know it.

Thank you for the pictures Jennie. He is absolutely and perfectly adorable. This Grandma can not wait to meet him.
    Love you all,
    Mommy

You are welcome! It’s Evie you’ve got to meet, though, before she grows out of this phase she’s in. She’s too funny, and utterly un-self-conscious. 🙂

It makes me so happy to see how you are enjoying him. I always wonder a bit some of the mamas I know who say things like they “can’t wait for him to grow up a bit” or “get less needy” or “sleep on his own”. To me, those are some of the things that make the tiny ones so precious. They’re tiny, they need you and they love to snuggle. I treasure every moment and am more grateful and aware of how fleeting babyhood is with each passing child. You’re right, you blink and suddenly they’re running around and riding tricycles. Don’t let a moment slip through your fingers!
